Experienced Medical Assistant with phlebotomy (preferred) and fluoroscopy (preferred) experience:

Needed for growing medical practice in Tampa focused on the EXCITING new field of non-surgical interventional regenerative orthopedics (emphasis on use of biologics, stem cells and platelets, injected into damaged tissue under image guidance).

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Immediate opening for a medical assisting position with phlebotomy and fluroscopy experience (preferred). Perform administrative duties, including answering telephones, greeting patients, updating and filing patients’ medical records, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, arranging for laboratory services. Assist with procedure preparation. Assist physician during procedures (which include ultrasound and fluoroscopy). Assist patients to car in wheelchair as needed. Clean and restock examination rooms. Help maintain inventory of supplies, ordering and restocking as needed. Cross-train with other medical assistant and lab processor. Perform other job-related duties as required by Physician

REQUIREMENTS:

-Medical Assistant experience, Energetic, positive, outgoing, detail oriented, patient-oriented, team-player, flexible, able to effectively handle stressful situations. Self-directed and self-motivated. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal is required. Computer skills, Current CPR certification. Maintain professional appearance and demeanor. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to work well with physicians and co-workers. Phlebotomy experience preferred, Placement of IV’s is a plus but not required. Understanding of wellness and nutrition a big plus! Abide by all company policies and procedures.

– Use of C-arm (fluoroscopy) – preferred.

– Phlebotomy experience – preferred.

Also assist physicians with patient examination, procedures and treatment. General duties include: obtaining patient histories maintaining patient flow, taking vital signs, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab. Obtain clinical, financial and demographic information. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Regenexx Tampa Bay.
